Person-Centered Psychiatry is an outpatient psychiatry practice founded by psychiatrist Michael Nathan Boggs MD to provide effective, kind, respectful, collaborative, person-centered care. Person-Centered Psychiatry provides expert psychiatric medication management and brief supportive psychotherapy to treat mental illness. Person-Centered Psychiatry is based in New Hampshire.
Via telemedicine we are able to provide care for residents throughout New England. If you do not live in New Hampshire or Massachusetts you might need to visit the office in person yearly for management of certain medications if required as part of your treatment plan.
We provide outpatient psychiatric care - expert psychiatric medication management and brief supportive psychotherapy. Our general approach with respect to psychiatric medication management is collaborative, kind, and careful. Care is provided by a board-certified psychiatrist who is a physician, either a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), who has completed a psychiatry residency and is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
Care is offered primarily via telemedicine though we do offer limited in person visits at our NH home office on Fridays.
Intake appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes. Follow-up appointments are scheduled for 20 minutes.
Cadence of visits is variable based on need. Typically appointments are scheduled every 2-4 weeks until you are feeling well and are stable, then every 2-3 months for maintenance care.
